Hi, I'm Nienke.

Before becoming an illustrator I got my master's degree in Communication Science. I worked as a marketing professional and projectmanager within the design field for more than 10 years. But after a decade of working in a creative field, I was itching to start creating myself again.

Now I get to have the best job in the world! Drawing, painting, testing art supplies and sharing all that creative knowledge in workshops, online and in collaboration with brands.

As an illustrator I get inspired by the city and its people. I always have a sketchbook in my bag, so I can draw anywhere. I love drawing the diversity of people and the little stories that I see every day.

Some random facts about me? I love to color coordinate things, I drink lots of tea and I'm a proud book nerd.​
