About the portrait
Upon meeting Chiara I immediately knew I wanted to paint her portrait. Not only because of her colorful appearance, but also due to her view on fashion and sustainability. With her business Indiaan in je kast, Chiara shows how to 'shop in your own closet' instead of always buying something new. And to bring more color and positivity into this world, Chiara organizes a free Color Walk in Amsterdam every last Saturday of the month.

For years that's how I kick-off my week now and that's when I painted this portrait.
Behind the soft blue background is a bright pink layer, giving the painting a warm glow.

About the painting
Staying in a small Spanish town between Malaga and Granada, I saw theze three men strolling through the village on several occasions. They were a walking painting to me. I hope to always enjoy my friends' company like that.
